The company now offers over one million configurable variants, a considerable increase from the previously defined three customer combinations. The new chassis versions of the eTGX and eTGS models provide extensive customisation options, including various wheelbases, cab versions, engine performance classes, battery combinations, charging connection positions, and industry-specific features.

The launch of the 4x2 and 6x2 chassis range coincides with the IFAT trade fair, scheduled for May 13-17, 2024, in Munich. These chassis are designed to meet the diverse application requirements in municipal and utility management. The batteries, with an expected performance period of up to 1.6 million kilometers or up to 15 years, are durable and suitable for use in municipalities.

“MAN has traditionally been very strong in the field of environmental technology vehicles. This expertise naturally also benefits our new electric trucks. With the new eTruck chassis, we are now increasingly moving into industry applications. This means that our pioneering electric range is in no way inferior to our previous diesel portfolio, even in specialised vehicle bodies,” says Stefan Schall, Head of Sales Truck, Van & Used at MAN Truck & Bus Deutschland.

The MAN eTruck chassis can support waste collection vehicles, snow clearing vehicles, aerial work platforms, and other specialized bodies. The availability of multiple wheelbases and battery configurations ensures long ranges, with the option to increase payload by up to 2,400 kilograms.

MAN is also offering eMobility consulting tailored to individual customer needs. This includes analyzing vehicle deployment and charging infrastructure requirements, providing charging stations through partnerships with infrastructure suppliers, and offering service contracts and financing solutions specific to electromobility.
