Einride’s fleet of electric heavy-duty vehicles is already one of the largest in Europe, and the addition of these state-of-the-art DAF Trucks further strengthens its commitment to eco-friendly logistics. The first batch of vehicles from the series of 50 has already been ordered and is expected to be delivered within this year.

The DAF XD electric trucks in the Einride order will come with various specifications, catering to different customer requirements. Equipped with three to five battery packs, these trucks can achieve ranges of up to 500km on a single charge, emitting zero emissions throughout their journeys. DAF will provide repair and maintenance packages for all vehicles.

Robert Ziegler, General Manager Europe at Einride, expressed the company’s commitment to partnering with leading truck manufacturers boasting top-tier technical performance. DAF emerged as an excellent choice due to its technological edge, making them an ideal collaborator in expanding Einride’s global fleet of electric vehicles, he said.

The New Generation DAF XD and XF Electric vehicles are designed specifically for zero-emission distribution and vocational applications. They feature PACCAR EX-D1 and PACCAR EX-D2 electric motors, complemented by two to five battery packs with a total output of up to 525kWh. With a ‘zero-emission range’ of up to 500km on a single charge, these trucks will cover up to 1,000km per day using an efficient charging strategy. The New Generation DAF XD and XF Electric trucks are manufactured in DAF’s new electric truck assembly plant, in Eindhoven which was commissioned in April 2023.
