Quantron AG and Petromin Corporation have partnered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to deliver 50 battery-electric Quantron Qargo 4 EV light trucks. These vehicles are set to support clients, including PepsiCo and Red Sea Global, in their pursuit of reducing their carbon footprint. This marks the most extensive deployment of battery-electric trucks in Saudi Arabia and aligns with the country’s vision to decarbonise mobility, a key component of Saudi Vision 2030.

Petromin, a leading multinational organisation in Saudi Arabia, has played a pivotal role in this project, establishing Saudi Arabia’s inaugural fleet of zero-emission battery-electric trucks in partnership with Quantron. The new truck is designed to enhance urban transport and last-mile deliveries by offering more than 250km of range, thanks to its 81kWh CATL battery

This switch from diesel to battery electric is estimated to result in a reduction of 31.5kg of carbon emissions per 100 kilometers, accounting for a mixed load, an average driving time of approximately 3.6 hours, and 10 stops for loading and offloading cargo.
