Trotters (Childrenswear & Accessories) Limited, known for its clothing worn by young Royals across Europe, is taking a step towards sustainability by embracing electric mobility. The company has decided to adopt the Renault Trucks E-Tech Master L3H1 Platform Cab as its first fully electric delivery vehicle.

While Trotters Childrenswear already operates two electric company cars, this move marks the company’s introduction to electric vans and its partnership with Renault Trucks. The new electric vehicle will be responsible for delivering stock to Trotters’ stores and partners, including well-known names like Harrods and Liberty, located throughout London.

Renault Truck Commercials, Chiltern, is the supplier for Trotters’ new E-Tech Master. This electric van is anticipated to cover an average distance of 20-30 miles per day and will predominantly operate in the vicinity of Trotters Childrenswear’s fulfillment center, where it will also be recharged.

“We opted for Renault Trucks because of its established reputation for reliability and trustworthiness, along with its offering of the right-sized and styled van to meet our stock delivery needs,” said Natasha Lunney, Chief Operating Officer at Trotter.

The newly acquired Renault Trucks E-Tech Master, featuring a Truckcraft low loader box body, boasts a payload capacity of up to 1.2 tonnes. With a loading height of merely 500mm, this set-up offers a 19cu-m load volume. The implementation of this van model allowed Trotters Childrenswear to downsize its delivery fleet from two vehicles to just one. “The new van is more spacious and efficiently designed compared to the previous model, enabling us to streamline our fleet down to a single vehicle. Given its size, we foresee no need for another van,” Lunney added.

Equipped with a R75 electric motor and a 52kWh battery, the Renault Trucks E-Tech Master Platform Cab chassis is capable of a real-life range of up to 120 miles on a single charge.
