The commercial vehicle division of Chinese automotive business Geely, has said it will start building its “Homtruck” heavy duty truck in limited batches by the end of next year, ahead of the full production in 2024. At the launch last year the Homtruck was revealed with two powertrain options - full electric and methanol powered range extender. The new truck is equipped with Geely’s own multi-motor flexible torque central electric drivetrain. The company has indicated a European launch is in its development plans, but has not yet released further details on the roll-out.
