Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK appoints James Venables as Head of Future Sustainability

As of February 1, 2023, James Venables will assume a new position as the Head of Future Sustainability at Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK. Despite this being a newly established role, James has already demonstrated a strong proficiency in the realm of eMobility through his previous role as the eConsultancy Manager for the past year and a half.

In his new capacity, James will take on responsibility for the eTeam while continuing to guide the implementation of Mercedes’ electrification plan and managing all aspects of our eTruck product line. With over two decades of experience at Mercedes-Benz Trucks, starting in 2000 as a Technical Sales Consultant and eventually working his way up to Key Account Manager, James has a solid foundation in the industry.

As the Head of Future Sustainability, James will collaborate with important stakeholders such as fleet customers, infrastructure providers, and colleagues at Daimler Truck AG asthe business pushes to reduce the carbon footprint of trucking in the UK. Along with his team, James will promote the use of zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles, including the current offerings of the Mercedes-Benz eActros, eEconic, and FUSO eCanter, as well as the soon-to-be-released eActros tractor, eActros LongHaul, and eAtego.
