Ricardo, a multinational strategic, environmental, and technical consulting firm, has officially opened its hydrogen test facility at its headquarters in Shoreham-by-Sea, UK.

The facility was created to use and expand Ricardo’s strengths and experience in developing zero-emission transportation solutions. It will be part of a worldwide hub for hydrogen, defossilized fuels, and electric transportation engineering.

The facility, which will provide cutting-edge testing and advanced development capabilities in both alternative fuels and electric vehicles, will greatly expand the variety of hydrogen and fuel cell services and solutions available to Ricardo’s clients.

“I’m delighted at the opening of this new facility at our Shoreham Technical Centre. It enables us to offer a one-stop-shop for customers: from design and development, right through to the testing and integration of alternative fuel technologies, such as hydrogen, to support future production planning. We’re already working with a range of customers on hydrogen and fuel cell technology, providing clean, efficient solutions, which reduce carbon and emissions across several sectors.” said Matt Beasley, President of Established Mobility at Ricardo.
