Tesla has begun production of its electric Semi, with the first vehicle being delivered to Pepsi on 1st December, according to the company’s CEO Elon Musk on Twitter.

However, the announcement comes sooner that anticipated as Musk told shareholders that the wait for the Cybertruck, Roadster, and Semi would stretch to 2023. Subsquent delays were said to be due to the company pushing new products off and focusing this year on scaling up its existing products output, as well as dealing with supply-chain delays and chip shortages.

In a following tweet, Musk emphasised that the Semi will have a 500-mile range and be “very fun to drive.”
