Einride launches the next generation of its autonomous truck range

Einride, the Swedish autonomous electric vehicle producer has released details of its upgraded Gen 2 Rigid Large Autonomous Vehicle. The new truck sits at the heart of Einride’s intelligent freight mobility platform which it is rolling out across Europe and North America. Last month the company announced it had started autonomous vehicle trials in the US, while it has projects already running in Sweden with SKF.

The vehicle now has a bigger cargo capacity, upgraded optics from sensors, an updated maximum speed, and night vision capabilities, enabling for more deployment use cases based on important client demands. The vehicle will be deployed at client sites beginning in 2023.

Sensors that are incorporated into the vehicle design are other significant design characteristics, and the Daytime Running Lamp light bar is a trademark feature that gives the car an intelligent appearance. A side feature depicts a dynamic feeling of movement while giving the car a forward-leaning stance and attitude.
